Jeff Kehler, who served as the Captive Program Administrator for the South Carolina Department of Insurance (the Department) for over 13 years, passed away on January 18, 2022. Kehler left the department in March of 2019 to join Somers Risk Consulting, LLC.
“Jeff was a well-liked and respected regulator in South Carolina and had transitioned to the captive management side,” said Risk Partners Vice President Gary Osborne. “He played a big part in the story of South Carolina working though some good times and some bad times for the domicile, but he was always a supporter of the captive industry in South Carolina.”
